Gday,
Realm-of-Fantasy (https://www.deviantart.com/realm-of-fantasy) is running a weekly "Give a Feature, Get a Feature" in our group. Do you have a favorite Fantasy/SciFi piece on deviantART? Or maybe you know of a Fantasy/SciFi piece that just isn't getting enough exposure? Would you like to get a little exposure yourself? Well, here is the time and place to speak up.

Since art has existed artists have drawn on the past to create their masterpieces. Some paint, some draw, some create statues and some re-create the clothing.
Around the world today there are artists working on showing a past fashion through the construction of a garment. Sometimes this is the reproduction of a surviving garment down to the thread count, sometimes they are simply trying to grasp the look of the period using modern techniques and materials and mostly they fall somewhere in between.
Creating past fashion isn’t easy. First you have to figure out what was worn. Sometimes this isn’t too hard, you look at some photo
For those of my friends who are curious, I thought I might share the progress on the timeline! Not bad for a few days.

I have the opportunity to join a reenactment group for the 2nd half of 15th century and knowing your dresses of Italy in this time I thought of contacting you Could you give me some sources oder book titles for research or inspiration or is it just looking into painting details? I have some experience with Renaissance clothing yet, but Italy and Early Renaissance is quite a new terrain for me.
Your clothes are fantastic! DO you mind if I ask what part of Australia you are from? My partner [also a photographer] and I are based on the Central Coast, NSW and I for one would love to work with you and some of your beautiful creations!
